It's a bit fiddly to attach the shade as the internal space for getting your hand in (i.e. where the bulb goes) is very small! Took multiple attempts and two people to achieve it! Once in, I was disappointed to find that the surface looks more mirrored than smoky grey. I've fitted it in an old house so the finished look was very important to me...can live with it for the time being but not 100% what I wanted it to be.
