It was love at first sight when I saw this light fitting and I bought it to replace a very old hall light. Unfortunately, beautiful as it most certainly is, the light from the lamp is totally focused downwards, making lovely patterns on the floor but not throwing much light anywhere else. Due to having other building work to be completed before the light could be installed it's too late for me to return it - though that would have been very difficult to do 💕 - but its limitations need to be taken into consideration before purchasing.

I recently purchased some crystal ball lights from Amazon, and I’ve noticed that the base gets very hot during use. Additionally, I couldn’t find any UK BSI approval marks on them. It’s concerning that Amazon appears to be allowing products onto their platform without proper verification of UK safety standards.
