The fitting is not CE or UKCA marked, nor are the instructions. The fitting uses G4 capsule bulbs. However these are 240V rated i.e. no transformer. The G4 lamp design is typically designed for 12V This also means it's possible to fit a standard 12V G4 lamps to the fitting this would result in at the best the bulb failing at worst fire.The wires that drop to each pendant have very small cross sectional area and in a fault condition, may burn before your consumer unit MCB operates. Although the ceiling-mounted metal work is class 1 i.e. it requires a protective earth, all the metal work on the pendants that the G4 bases are fitted to are not earthed.
