I live in Sweden and bought this on amazon.co.uk because it is not available on the Swedish site. I love the look of the chunk of wood that forms it base and its light, with a 'cool' 4,500K bulb is bright. I bought a pair of these and they sit in the windowsill of my workshop/studio and come on at night by using a timer. I chose to remove the UK plug for an EU standard plug (using an adapter is beyond clumsy) but found that it is impossible to get inside the workings of the lamp to do a full rewire. Had that been possible then I would have awarded it a full five stars. I've dropped a star for that but that doesn't mean I don't like it. I do and I would buy it again.

Nice wee lamp, however.... Comes with two switches - one on the wooden base and one on the cable. The one on the cable is totally redundant in my opinion. Anyway, the cable was too long for my needs so I chopped off half the cable, including the pointless switch. On re-wiring the plug I discovered it had a 13A fuse. I'm not an electrician but that seems unsafe to me. If the max rating is 60W then the max current will be 0.25A It's probably about 10x less than that in reality as I believe with lights the 60W max rating refers to the old style bulbs, not the new low power ones. Anyway, pull out the 13A fuse and stick in a 1A.
